Last Exit Alexanderplatz – Trailer

For over 20 years Berlin Alexanderplatz is at the heart of debates. In 1993, Berlin politicians decided on the largest urban redevelopment project since the fall of the Berlin wall. Surrounded by 13 tower buildings, the former center of the East was to become the new heart of the reunited city. This hasn’t worked out so far. Just a few houses have been built since, but according to the investors everything is ready to start. Would this redevelopment be preferable though? Or has the urban planning of the post-Wende years already long ago failed?
