The Future of Prefabricated Wooden Houses

In our opinion the future of prefabricated wooden houses is a simple but well reasoned solid construction without any glue or synthetic elements. This leads not only to real sustainability, but creates a pleasant indoor climate and a friendly atmosphere. The lightness of wood and the possibilities of prefabricating large-size elements qualifies wooden houses to densify an urban landscape. A city as Berlin has a huge amount of flat roofs that can carry light wooden constructions. People can live in individual houses with spectacular views in the middle of the city.

The project received the 2nd prize in the competition Design the Future 2014 by Marlegno Prefabricated Wooden Buildings.
