On one level

The central location of the parents’ house in the old town of Celle and the memories were finally decisive for the client to modernize the existing, rather than build new on the green meadow.

It was a big challenge to adapt the historic half-timbered house, which stands under monument protection, to the present requirements. Accessibility and improved sound insulation were key elements of the modernization. Despite all the problems the client says that it was the only right decision to modernize the apartment.
