The new public library in Ulm/Germany

Neither a dark cabinet with endless rows of books nor a virtual library – instead architect Gottfried Böhm’s  as well as the city’s will was to have the large bright communication space as the new central library. The result is a building that main focus lies in it’s openness, both outside and inside.
