Klong Toey Community Lantern

The Norwegian non-profit organization TYIN Tegnestue (http://www.tyinarchitects.com/) is working to improve living conditions for poor and vulnerable by building and designing buildings – as a teamwork of architects and students from Europe, involving the local populace actively in both the design and building of their projects.
The Klong Toey Community Lantern was built in spring 2011 in order to give the inhabitants of the informal dwelling of Klong Toey in Bangkok a multifunctional space for playing, working, meeting and to tackle some of the social issues in the area
