The virtual wall is an installation VR (VR = Virtual Reality), which makes it possible to walk through a part of the dismantled Berlin Wall and to perceive the impact of border installations in East and West Berlin. With time travel, animations and simulations, starting from the 80’s, the user can be involved in events from the 60s and the present, and one can learn what it was like to live “in the shadow of the wall.”

In April 2009, the art work was awarded on the Cyber ​​Arts Festival in Boston and received the ‘IBM Innovation Award’.
