Flint House
The film by Tapio Snellman was shot over a frosty and clear winter’s day in January 2016. It portrays the house of Baron de Rothschild’s banking family on the grounds of the historic Waddesdon Manor by exploring the structure’s relationship with the surrounding agricultural landscape. The building, consisting of two sloping structures facing each other, was completed in 2015. Designed by Charlotte Skene Catling, the guest house is clad in a gradient of eponymous flint stone applied by a local craftsmen.
