Oceanário de Lisboa

In 2011, the Oceanário de Lisboa, one of the world’s largest aquariums located within the Portuguese Parque das Nações (Expo 1998), significantly grew: it received an extension planned by Campos Costa Arquitectos (https://camposcosta.com/). Covered by a ceramic facade, which undoubtedly reminds at the scales of a fish skin, the already existing aquarium (Architect Peter Chermayeff) was extended with a new entrance, and additional public and exhibition spaces.
