Snellius School
The Snellius School is one of the latest of the 18 schools Dutch architect Willem Marinus Dudok designed and built in the city of Hilversum, where he was director of public works and, later, the city architect. It was built in 1930-1932, an extension was added in 1933. The school lies in the corner of two streets, constituting a landmark with its red colour and the flat roof, reinforced by the semicircular glass extension and the high chimney at the entrance. It is now in use as an office building.
